I knew this was a worthwhile project before, but now it’s especially resonant after it took me less than two months presenting as a woman to have a drunk guy forcibly grope me and reach into my panties on a dark, empty street after only having exchanged a few words at a bar.  Given the detached way I felt about this kind of abuse before, it’s abundantly clear to me how hard it is to really understand the ubiquity of this kind of abuse if you’re not part of a targeted community, which makes sharing these stories as frequently as possible so damn important.
